AQCLab has recently become the first accredited laboratory in Spain for Software Product Quality Evaluation Tests. Accreditation conforming to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard confirms the technical competence of the laboratory and ensures reliability in the results of the tests performed. To do so, the accreditation body ENAC performs a thorough evaluation of all the factors that contributing to laboratories obtaining reliable results: qualification of personnel, appropriate and validated methods and procedures, adequacy of equipment and infrastructure, technics for quality evaluation of the results, etc.

Software quality evaluations carried out by AQCLab took the international standard ISO/IEC 25000 as a basis. This way, the evaluation process is based on ISO/IEC 25040, while the quality model that sets the quality characteristics and subcharacteristics evaluated on software products take ISO/IEC 25010 as reference.

Through AQCLab, ICT companies now can get an independent software product quality evaluation service, allowing them to know the quality of the product they are developing and/or acquiring, and using it as a distinctive feature against their competition.
