The product BitRRHH 1.0, developed by Bitware and evaluated by AQCLab, has been granted the first ISO/IEC 25000 certificate for Functional Suitability after succesfully passing the conformity audit carried out by AENOR.

Through Functional Suitability certification, software development companies are able to prove that their products meet the requirements needed by their clients, and in turn the clients have the assurance that the products they buy are functionally complete and correct.
The evaluation of this quality characterisctic is now part of the services provided by AQCLab, who keeps working together with AENOR to provide new evaluation and certification services, such as Data Quality Evaluation.
The article by AQCLab "A Hard Look at Software Quality" has been featured in the last issue of the Quality Progress magazine. This article underlines the importance of software product quality evaluation and certification, and its impact on the final cost of the product. Besides, the article describes the case study carried out by AQCLab and AENOR where three different software products were evaluated and certified in conformance with ISO/IEC 25000.

AQCLab has participated in the article "Certificación de la Mantenibilidad del Producto Software: Caso Práctico" (Software Product Maintainability Certification: A Case Study), which has appeared in the latest issue (Vol 3, No3 2015) of the Revista Latinonamericana de Ingeniería del Software (Latin American Software Engineering Magazine), dedicated to the conference XI Jornadas Iberoamericanas de Ingeniería de Software e Ingeniería del Conocimiento y Congreso Ecuatoriano en Ingeniería de Software (JIISIC-CEIS 2015).
This paper presents a case study on software maintainability certification in conformance with ISO/IEC 25000, in which AQCLab has participated as the evaluation laboratory. In addition, it presents the advantages of the evaluation and certification of product quality conforming to ISO 25000, such as reducing maintenance costs, facilitating the evolution and adaptation of the product to new customers, as well as providing a guarantee of quality to the customers.
El pasado día 04 de junio AQCLab presentó en el congreso JIISIC-CEIS 2015 una ponencia titulada "Certificación de la mantenibilidad del producto software. Un caso práctico".
El congreso JIISIC-CEIS 2015 se ha celebrado los días 4 y 5 de Junio en Riobamba (Ecuador). En esta edición, los temas de interés se han centrado en cualquier aspecto relacionado con el desarrollo, puesta a punto y mantenimiento de productos software, así como aquellos temas relacionados con la ingeniería del conocimiento.
En la presentación se hizo referencia al ecosistema creado por AQCLab y AENOR para evaluar y certificar la mantenibilidad de los productos software. Además, se presentó un caso de estudio donde se pudo comprobar como el producto Xcloud Bookstore desarrollado por Enxenio consiguió la certificación para la mantenibilidad.
Tras la auditoría de seguimiento realizada por ENAC en 2015, AQC Lab mantiene la acreditación y sigue siendo el laboratorio referente en España para la evaluación de la calidad de aplicaciones software en base a la familia de estándares ISO/IEC 25000.
